Senator John Fetterman
The Broward Democratic Party is excited to announce that U.S. Senator Jon Fetterman will be the keynote speaker for its annual Obama Roosevelt Legacy Gala on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Broward County Convention Center.
Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania has been a vocal advocate for mental health, stopping gun violence, marijuana legalization, economic justice, equal protection for the LGBTQ+ community, and criminal justice reform. He currently serves on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry; Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, and on the critical Joint Economic Committee and the Special Committee on Aging. He was elected in 2022 after beating the Trump-endorsed, television-personality Dr. Mehmet Oz.
