Fellow activist,

We had to reach out to thank you for your generous support.

As we mentioned, this is the time of year that nonprofits in our space experience delayed funding, which forces costly budget restrictions. That means that your support at this time is essential to ensuring that we can retain our current level of operations in quarter one while also ramping up for the critical general election in November. We cannot stress how much your generosity means to us.

As a thank you, we wanted to share an exciting update with you today: Our CEO, Kadida Kenner, was named a 2024 Black Trailblazer by City and State Pennsylvania!
#

This incredible honor, sponsored by the PA Chamber for Black Owned Business, showcases Black Pennsylvanians who are “shattering glass ceilings and brokering power across a wide range of industries.”

Kadida is recognized for founding the New Pennsylvania Project, leading the efforts to expand the electorate in PA to include Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth (17-35) as well as advocating for protecting voting rights, raising the minimum wage, fair education funding, and canceling student debt, among other causes.

We are so proud to see Kadida, our fearless leader, getting the recognition she deserves.

Again, none of this would be possible without you. Together, we are building a movement throughout the commonwealth to fight back against attacks on voting rights while advocating for expanded access to the ballot. We are thrilled to have you on our team.

Thank you,

Team NPP

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
