[link removed] [[link removed]] Today’s the last day of the month, which means you’re probably getting inundated with campaigns asking you for help before tonight’s deadline.

I’m sorry for my role in your overflowing email inbox. But this note isn’t just to ask for your support. It’s also to thank you for everything you’ve done to get me where I am today, and to talk candidly about why the tough fight we’re gearing up for is so, so important.

My background is pretty unique in the House of Representatives. I was raised by a single mom and was the first person from my family to attend college (not the norm in Congress, but not unheard of). I juggled multiple jobs to pay my way through school (even less common for Congress). I started my career working in economic and community development on Native American reservations (very unusual for DC). And I was proud to become the first LGBTQ+ Native American elected to Congress (first but hopefully not the last!).

So it’s true that I bring a unique voice to Congress. But ultimately, what I’m proudest of isn’t getting to Washington.. Having a voice only matters if you use it well.

What I love most about this job is the opportunity to work for Kansans every single day, to bring our values and our interests to Washington.

Sometimes, that means fighting back against extremism — doing everything I can to defeat attacks on our democracy and our fundamental freedoms.

But I’m not here just to say no to harmful policies. I’m here to pass good ones, to deliver opportunities for the people of Kansas. And I’m proudly running for re-election on my record of doing exactly that — whether it was reducing the cost of insulin for Kansans who are on Medicare, helping to bring good-paying clean-energy jobs here to KS-03, or expanding rural broadband access in rural communities.

I’m thankful every day for this opportunity to serve the people of Kansas, and I’m grateful for everything you’ve done to make this opportunity possible — whether you’ve donated a few hard-earned dollars, volunteered, or spread the word about our campaign on social media.

The fact is, despite all we’ve achieved, we’ve got our work cut out for us this year. This election is going to be really, really close, and the stakes could not be higher.

If you’re still with me in this fight, and you’re able to contribute, I would be sincerely grateful if you could pitch in before tonight’s fundraising deadline: [[link removed]]

And regardless of whether or not you decide to chip in today, I want to thank you again for all your support. It means the world to me, and to our entire grassroots team.

Thank you,

Sharice
