Like you, I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Burnsville Police
Officers Matthew Ruge and Paul Elmstrand, as well as Paramedic Adam Finseth, in
the line of duty.



In times of tragedy, it's easy to stand with our law enforcement officers and
proclaim our support. But true support for the men and women in blue isn't
measured by the emotions of a single day—it's measured by our commitment to
their safety and well-being when the headlines fade.



Whether it’s legislation in Congress or just a simple bumper sticker showing
support, I will always stand by our brave first responders. I hope you will
join me, John, in backing the blue.


While I fight in Congress to protect our police and give them the resources
they need to succeed, please consider some small way to make it clear that you
stand with themalways.
