Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill progresses
Having campaigned vigorously on the issue of Property Management Companies in Parliament on behalf of people in Dartford, I am pleased The Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill is progressing through Parliament and I contributed to a recent debate on it.

Amendment tabled to the Sentencing Bill
I have tabled an amendment to the Sentencing Bill intended to close a loophole in the law.

Civil Aviation Authority figures show that people behaving in a disruptive manner during a flight is an increasing problem. Under the current aviation law, behaving in an abusive or threatening manner towards airline crew during flight, allows for a prison sentence to be imposed only where that person is drunk. Unless alcohol is involved in the incident, current aviation law does not allow for someone who uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards airline crew, to receive a custodial sentence.

Opening the newly refurbished Europa Weightlifting Club
I first visited the Europa Weightlifting Club in Temple Hill, back in September 2019, when I accepted an invitation from Olympic weightlifter, Andrew Callard.
At that first visit, the club was in the very early stages of plans for a full refurbishment of the entire building.
It was a pleasure therefore, to be invited back to the Club to open the newly refurbished facility.

Presenting a petition in Parliament on behalf of Brent Primary School
I was pleased to present a petition in the Chamber of the House of Commons on behalf of staff and pupils at The Brent Primary School.
When I visited this excellent school during Parliament week, I was asked if I would present this petition which calls for roads surrounding the school to have a speed limit of 20 mph instead of 30 mph and to be free from speeding traffic.

Attending The Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase
I was pleased to attend the Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase recently which took place during National Apprenticeship Week.

I met apprentice Lewis Weygang, who works for Shepherd Neame in Dartford and presented him with a Certificate of Recognition.

Visiting Londis at Bexley Park
It is great to visit local businesses and I was delighted to meet Nishi Patel at Londis in Bexley Park to discuss issues affecting him.
One issue he and many retailers in Dartford face is that of shoplifting.

Welcoming Wilmington Grammar School sixth form to Westminster
I am always delighted to meet with Politics students and it was a pleasure to welcome those from Wilmington Grammar School who are studying the subject, to Westminster.
