Explore the History of VA
After the Vietnam War, the nation was eager to put the unpopular conflict behind it. However, the 3.4 million Veterans who served did not have that luxury. Max Cleland was one of those Veterans. Cleland, who lost his legs in the war, made it his mission to advocate for fellow Veterans. At 34, he became the youngest appointed VA Administrator. Learn more about Cleland and explore the "History of VA in 100 Objects."
