REMINDER: EGLE invites input on updated draft of Public Participation Policy and Language Access Plan through April 1.
EGLE to host two virtual input sessions to answer questions and receive feedback.
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is seeking public input on the updated draft versions of its Public Participation Policy, and Language Access Plan (formerly titled Limited English Proficiency Plan). Public comment is currently being accepted through April 1, 2024.
Virtual listening sessions will be held on Wednesday, March 6 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. and on Thursday, March 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Thursday session will include simultaneous translation in Arabic, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL).

Comments will be accepted through April 1, 2024. All comments received during the comment period will be considered and reviewed prior to publication and release of final policy and plan. Comments on the revised policies can be submitted through the following:

Virtual Listening Sessions:
Sessions will begin with a summary of key updates and general themes of the new policy and plan, followed by an open comment period.
March 6, 2024, 12-1:30 p.m. Public Participation Policy and Language Access Plan Listening Session I
March 7, 2024, 6-8 p.m. Public Participation Policy and Language Access Plan Listening Session II This session will include simultaneous translation in Arabic, Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL).
