Dear John,

Just a few months ago John McGuire was supporting our campaign for re-election, and saying, "Bob Good is doing a great job. He's a true conservative. And we need more of him."

"Bob Good is doing a great job. He's a true conservative. And we need more of him."

But then, just a week after getting elected to the State Senate in November, and before even being sworn in, he announced that he was running against me. This makes it his sixth race in just five years!

First, he lied to the voters in VA Senate District 10, saying that he would not run against me and would serve out his term.

Then he lied to voters when he claimed to have raised $250,000 in the first 48 hours after he launched his campaign against me on November 15th. However, the truth is, he didn't even raise that amount in the entire fundraising quarter that ended on December 31, as shown in his official FEC report and as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail published that his FEC report "shows that John McGuire only raised $213,421.86 in total for the entire quarter, including $92,937.76 in contributions and $119, 484.10 in transfers to the campaign from other authorized committees." These committees are joint fundraising committees with other SWAMP candidates.

Mr. McGuire then went on the John Fredericks Radio Show and said he was not recruited by or supported by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the SWAMP.  But, the truth is a pesky thing, and consultants and former staff of McCarthy and former Congressman Eric Cantor are listed as contributors on his FEC report, along with the other DC lobbyists and California donors.

As a matter of fact, McCarthy himself has been bragging about funding McGuire's campaign, and encouraging others in the SWAMP to do the same.

This is why John's colleagues in the General Assembly often refer to him as John "McLiar".

You can read more about John's deception in this linked article.

For God and Country,

Bob
