I apologize for the second KCDC Disability News message.? I forgot to include the Kansas Human Rights Commission (KHRC)) notice of public comments on removal of 45 of their regulations.? Please see the message below and the attachment.? The notice is on page 125 of the attachment.?

Dear KHRC Interested Parties and Stakeholders,

The purpose of this communication is to provide you with a copy of the ?Notice of Right to Request a Hearing Regarding the Proposed Revocation of Administrative Regulations? that was published in the Kansas Register on February 8, 2024 and attached to this e-mail.? As explained in the Notice, the KHRC proposes to revoke 45 administrative regulations because they duplicate statutory language, are self-directing pertaining to actions of the KHRC, are better suited for rules of practice and/or are outdated.? The KHRC is proceeding under the expedited revocation process set forth in KSA 77-426(d).? Although providing notice of the right to request a hearing is not statutorily required, the KHRC is providing this notice because it is the first time the KHRC has utilized the expedited revocation process.

The proposed revocations will not change current operating procedures and are not anticipated to have an economic impact.?

Please feel free to forward this communication to other interested persons and parties.

If you have any questions or concerns, you may reply to this email.? Any person who wishes to request a hearing on the proposed revocations must do so *by March 1, 2024*, pursuant to the directions set forth in the attached Notice.

Sincerely,

Ruth Glover
