The numbers are in, John, and they don’t reflect well on the GOP’s dysfunctional House Majority.

House Republicans’ infighting brought legislation to a halt -- from arguing over how to avoid a national default or government shutdown to ousting their own Speaker and spending weeks picking a replacement. (Not to mention the time they wasted on a baseless impeachment inquiry against President Biden.)
So far in 2024, House Republicans appear to be serving up more of the same. They can’t garner enough votes to pass their own measures and they even defeated their own bill to appease Donald Trump! They’re putting Trump and politics as usual over the people they’re supposed to serve.
The previous Congress when Democrats controlled the House, Senate, and White House was historically productive and passed major bills to improve our infrastructure and veterans’ health care, boost U.S. manufacturing, create jobs, lower prescription drug costs, and address gun violence and climate change.
That’s because Democrats are steadfast in our efforts to put people over politics and put the American Dream within reach for everyone in our country.
