Great Week On The Road In TX-23! San Antonio ➡️ Sonora ➡️ Eldorado ➡️ Kermit ➡️ Monahans ➡️ Pecos ➡️ Fort Davis ➡️ Marfa ➡️ Alpine ➡️ Fort Stockton ➡️ Ozona ➡️ Del Rio ➡️ Brackettville ➡️ Uvalde ➡️ Hondo Congressman Gonzales joined Eldorado residents for a breakfast on Tuesday. RECAP: On The Go In TX-23 This week, I met with Kermit ISD Superintendent Dr. Joe Lopez and Winkler County Sheriff Darin Mitchell to discuss ways we can work together to ensure our schools are safe. Our kids thrive when they feel supported at school. I'm a proud dad of six children, I know there is nothing more important to us as parents than the safety of our kids. Through my work in Congress, I've secured mental health and school security funding for school districts across Texas. The future is bright in Winkler County! Service Spotlight: Pecos County Sheriff TJ Perkins On Wednesday, I presented Pecos County Sheriff TJ Perkins with a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol for his unwavering dedication to keeping our communities safe. Sheriff Perkins has decades of law enforcement expertise and is a dedicated partner in our shared mission to keep West Texas communities safe. Fort Sam Houston Cemetery Nothing is more sacred than ensuring our veterans are taken care of after they serve our country. This week, I hosted VA Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs Matthew Quinn at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery. Fort Sam Houston Cemetery is the resting place for so many of our brave veterans from Texas. Under Secretary Quinn has the solemn duty of preserving and improving our VA national cemeteries. I look forward to partnering with him to modernize Fort Sam Houston and preserve the cemetery as a dignified resting place for our veterans.
