The House is still on break and we are days away from another government shutdown. If they can’t come up with a deal within 24 hours of coming back to work on Wednesday, millions of Americans will suddenly lose access to vital services and up to 2 million federal employees will be furloughed or forced to work without pay.

 

Then there REALLY won’t be anyone there to answer the phone.

 

The Republican majority and my opponent, Mike Simpson, are responsible for all of this uncertainty and chaos. You can help me change that by flipping this seat – and flipping the House – this November.

 

I need to raise another $6,200 before midnight on Thursday to meet our budget going into March. If we meet our goal I can start recruiting and training our canvassing team. But if we fall short we’ll have to scale back our voter outreach efforts.

Mike Simpson was in Congress for the last shutdown the Republicans forced on us. On his watch, it dragged on for 35 days, cost our economy $11 BILLION. After living through that destruction, it’s unconscionable that Simpson would allow that to happen again.

 

Idaho deserves a representative who puts our community ahead of party politics. Pitch in now to help me flip ID-02 next year so we can take back the House majority and get back to work.
