Hello,

My name is Karen Middleton, and I’m the President of Cobalt — Colorado’s leading organization to protect and expand reproductive freedom. I asked Jason if I could reach out about an important update.

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the issue of reproductive freedom has been thrown to the states. We have seen an alarming number of states ban abortion — including anti-abortion politicians championing a nationwide abortion ban.

This is unacceptable and dangerous. Many of us heard the story of Kate Cox, a Texas woman blocked from accessing abortion care by the Texas Attorney General after a fetal diagnosis. This could very well happen in any other state if we’re complacent.

Coloradans deserve to make their own health care decisions free from government interference, so we’re taking the matter into our own hands.

Right now, the Coloradans for Protecting Reproductive Freedom campaign is collecting signatures for a ballot measure to put abortion rights into the Colorado Constitution. We need more resources to get on the ballot and protect the right to an abortion, which is why I’m reaching out today:

Will you split a donation between Cobalt Advocates and Jason Crow’s campaign to help get our fight on the November ballot and protect reproductive freedom in Colorado? [[link removed]]

Reproductive freedom is a matter of simple fairness. Coloradans’ right to have an abortion should not depend on politicians.

Colorado has long been a leader in abortion rights — but even in a state like ours, not everyone has the freedom to access abortion care that they should. This ballot measure will help remove those barriers and build a more equitable health care system across our state.

Time and time again, Coloradans have made it clear that abortion care is health care. I am so happy to have Jason as a partner in this fight for reproductive freedom — but we can’t do it alone. Will you split a donation between our two campaigns to help get abortion rights on the ballot this November? [[link removed]]
