As an Army Veteran, I have had the honor and privilege to serve our great state and nation since 2008.
I have been activated for numerous emergencies, including hurricanes Matthew, Irma, Michael, Dorian, and Idalia. I have also been called to serve during times of civil unrest, such as the situation at the University of Florida in 2020.
During COVID, I was activated for 100 days of active service during the State’s COVID response. During this time, I helped set up regional testing sites and was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, the Humanitarian Service Award, and the Armed Services Service Medal for my efforts.
