As a Green Beret, my job meant I served as both a Special Forces warrior and a battlefield diplomat. I fought the Taliban head-on in more firefights than I care to remember -- as mortar rounds impacted around me and bullets "snapped" in my ear as they almost hit me. I don't want to think about many of the horrific battles I survived defending our nation, because many of my friends simply did not. But I will tell you that I’ve seen what the Taliban and America's other radical jihadist enemies -- like Iran -- are fully capable of. And while President Trump unleashed American military might to crush the ISIS caliphate, with President Biden, I fear our enemies will look for the next chance to kill innocent Americans without reservation. |
