FACT OR FICTION: NETFLIX’S “SELF MADE” AND THE REAL STORY OF MADAM C.J. WALKER
If you're looking for an escape from the news, check out Netflix's new
miniseries "Self Made," based on the experiences of Madam C.J. Walker. (You
might recall that her estate in Irvington, New York—the incredible Villa
Lewaro—is one of our National Treasures.) In case you missed it, we interviewed
her great-great-granddaughter and biographer A'Lelia Bundles to learn more about
Walker and the miniseries' take on her life.
