Dear John,

Today, the Good for Congress campaign announced the launch of the Veterans for Good coalition, naming retired Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin as its Chairman.

Lt. Gen. Boykin was one of the original members of the U.S. Army's Delta Force. He commanded all of the Army's Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and School. In all, Lt. Gen. Boykin spent 36 years in the Army, serving his last four years as the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence.

“I am grateful for the support and friendship of Lt. General Boykin. He exemplifies servant leadership, loyalty to country, adherence to the Constitution, and a commitment to our nation’s founding Judeo-Christian principles. He is a national treasure, and his service career makes him the perfect person to lead our veterans coalition,” said Congressman Good.

The coalition is focused on organizing veterans across the 5th District in support of the re-election campaign of Congressman Good.

The Veterans for Good coalition will be hosting grassroots events across Virginia’s 5th Congressional District to encourage veterans and their families to make their voices heard by voting in the June 18 primary.
