Yesterday, our country witnessed a deadly mass shooting in Kansas City, Missouri.

Gunfire from an assault weapon disrupted a parade to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, stealing the life of at least one person and wounding another 19, including 8 children.


Republican elected officials are blocking life-saving gun safety measures including a federal assault weapons ban and refusing to take a stand against the assault weapons that plague our communities – despite witnessing 49 mass shootings this year ALONE. It has never been more urgent that we kick every despicable lawmaker out of office who sits by and does nothing as our families are murdered. Every single dollar raised to BAWN goes toward replacing cowardly Republicans with strong Democrats who will protect our families against gun violence and vote to BAN assault weapons. We are urgently asking for 663 gifts before midnight to close our budget gap and ensure this never happens again. Our country has witnessed more mass shootings than days in the year 2024.

Yet Missouri has virtually no gun safety laws on the books.

In 2021, Missouri Republicans even attempted to make federal gun safety legislation ILLEGAL in the state and BAR police from enforcing them.

One thing is clear: There will NEVER be enough bloodshed to convince cowardly lawmakers to act on gun safety.

That’s why we need to unseat every pathetic, spineless lawmaker who refuses to take a stand and ban these weapons of war – and we need to do it NOW.


We can’t afford to waste a single second. We have to fund gun safety candidates who are challenging lawmakers who allow our families to be murdered in their schools, streets, movie theaters, and everywhere in between. Electing these candidates is key to keeping our families safe.
