A lot has happened since our last update.
* Texas adopted a constitutional strategy first articulated by the Center for Renewing America ([link removed]) for stopping an invasion of illegal immigrants.
* The House of Representatives impeached Sec. of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.
* The Ohio Legislature overrode its Governor's veto, resulting in the banning of gender surgeries on minors.
* America First Legal got Elon Musk's attention ([link removed]) with their new hotline for reporting discrimination in the name of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
* CPI held its 2024 Winter Leadership Conference in Miami, FL.
It's a big year for our county. And thanks to you, we're ready to seize every opportunity ahead.
On Jan. 31, Conservative Partnership Academy hosted a welcome reception at the Library of Congress for the Academy's first classes of fellows. Over the next 10 months, these 225 professionals from Hill offices and groups throughout the conservative movement will learn communications, leadership, and policy.
Virginia Rep. Bob Good told fellows the most important quality they can display as conservatives in D.C. is integrity. "If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters."
The BlazeTV's Jason Whitlock delivered a keynote address at CPI's 2024 Winter Leadership Conference on the importance of standing in the fire to restore our nation's sacred liberties.
"There's actually great joy, fulfillment, and satisfaction in the persecution," Jason remarked. "If others will benefit from your sacrifice, it makes it worthwhile."
House Freedom Caucus members and dozens of movement leaders discussed policy battles on Capitol Hill, and CPI leadership discussed upcoming programs and updates on Patriots' Row.
On Jan. 11, Elon Musk tweeted ([link removed]) out America First Legal's new DEI discrimination hotline. "This organization will help you if you were discriminated against on the basis of race or sex." AFL's hotline ([link removed]) enables citizens to report illegal discrimination in the name of "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion," (DEI) in their university or workplace.
The South Carolina Freedom Caucus—one of 12 caucuses in a growing national network—is facing fierce opposition within its own party. Republican leaders in South Carolina proposed a new rules package that would shut conservatives out of the legislative process.
In response, members of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus alerted their followers on social media ([link removed]) and grassroots leaders
—and leadership was forced to delay ([link removed]) a vote on the rules package.
