Am I worried about voter fatigue in 2024, John?

Some voters and volunteers are exhausted. Since MAGA politics burst onto the scene, we have been fighting for our rights, liberties, and future.

That's what brought me back to Iowa, to be a voice against MAGA extremism and to bring our community together to stand against it. During my first race for Congress, I met a man named Ricky at my local bar.

The first time I saw him, he gave the impression he did not want to talk to me — later I found out he knew me as the "Democratic politician he'd seen on Fox News" — so we steered clear of each other. But the second time I saw him at the bar, I sat down with him and we discussed politics. He told me about his support for Trump and I shared my belief that special interests, multinational corporations, and billionaires have too much power.

The third time I saw him, he bought me a whisky and he expressed that he'd been sharing my message with his Republican friends. But, the last time I saw Ricky, just a few weeks ago, he told me that he's done with Trump.

This is the only way that we can overcome voter fatigue in 2024: grassroots organizing.

People powered movements, like ours, succeed not because of the candidate or their opponent, but because the community jumps into the fight. Through honest connections and a sense of community, the individuals who make up a grassroots movement make a difference.

So, am I worried about voter fatigue in 2024? No.

Because we are building a grassroots campaign to re-energize voters in Iowa. We will be meeting voters on the street, at work, on their doorstep, and, for those of us over 21, occasionally at the bar.

Our movement is about building up our community and leading with voters. But we can't do any of this without you. So, as we start building our grassroots campaign, can I count on you to donate today to help us build our team and power this movement? [[link removed]]
