Dear Friend,

I hope that this message finds you and yours safe and healthy. While the scope of the COVID-19 pandemic changes daily, we at Graham are helping our kids and families endure this crisis with the focus, love, and determination that has defined Graham for the past two centuries.

Right now, more than 4,000 kids and their families are facing school closings and are worried about food, money, housing, and having the right tools for distance learning — on top of anxiety about the virus.

The stress of this global disaster disproportionately impacts those New Yorkers who, even in the healthiest times, face some of life’s most difficult obstacles. Our families are facing this challenge with courage. Many were already struggling to make ends meet and they have shared that they now need baby formula, diapers, canned goods, money to pay for their utilities, rent and necessities, and technology to ensure their children can participate in school remotely and that they can work from home, stay connected, and keep in touch with friends and family.

One parent shared that they were nervous about how they would get by now that their partner had been laid off. Another shared that they were concerned about making sure their four year-old daughter had Cheerios, Corn Flakes, and fruit.

To help alleviate these intense pressures, we ask for your support of our Makk Family Relief Fund named in honor of our deeply admired late Board Member, Andrew Makk. Andrew’s palpable commitment to making sure our children and families had all that they need inspires us all. 100% of your contribution will go to meeting the basic needs of our community.

Please make a gift to Graham today.
