*Salmon Recovery Survey*

*Commerce is seeking your input on a new Salmon Grant Program to advance salmon recovery efforts across the state.*

Communities statewide are working to balance our increasing needs for housing and infrastructure with sustainable protections for salmon habitat and water quality that people, businesses, and wildlife need to thrive. Incorporating additional planning for salmon recovery locally can foster the collaborative achievement of these goals. ?

As cities, counties, and tribes update their plans and regulations, this new grant program will provide support to incorporate ecosystem protection, water quality improvement, enhancement of salmon habitat, and environmental justice into their planning efforts. To aid in this effort, we would like you to hear your thoughts.

* *The survey closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.*

Your response will help us to design and implement the program. The survey will only take a couple of minutes out of your busy schedule. We encourage you to share the survey with community partners and help us expand our initial level of inquiry.
