Our nation's servicemembers and veterans will ALWAYS have my support in Congress. Check out this week's special edition newsletter below. Each day, I work to address your concerns and protect our liberties. From helping you navigate federal casework to advocating for your priorities, my team and I are always here to help. Service Spotlight This week, I re-enlisted my good friend and shipmate Navy Senior Chief Ricky Phelps. It was great to host him and his family in our nation’s capital. Thank you, my friend, for your honorable service! Finding Solutions, Never Excuses I sat down with the Military Times this week to discuss how my service in the Navy impacts my work in Congress. My approach will always be to find solutions to the most difficult problem set— like the crisis at our southern border. Click here to watch Rep. Gonzales' border discussion with the Military Times We also discussed how important it is to deliver for our military families. For the first time in two decades, I secured an increase in the Family Separation Allowance (FSA). This critical pay can be used by families that are separated during a military deployment, which can be an extremely difficult time. I’ll continue to push the Pentagon to implement this increase in funding and make sure our military families have the resources they deserve. Click here to listen to Rep. Gonzales on the Military Times "Early Bird Brief" podcast Air Force Graduation at JBSA-Lackland I was honored to participate in the JBSA-Lackland AFB’s BMT graduation ceremony on Thursday. This class of graduates is a great example of the fighting American spirit. I am proud to recognize their hard work, their commitment to service, and their dedication to protecting our freedom. Rep. Gonzales visited JBSA-Lackland in San Antonio on Thursday I will continue to ensure our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Guardians have all the tools they need to fight and win wars.
