Dear Friends and Patriots,
After months of prayer and careful consideration, it is with a heart full of gratitude and humility that I announce today I will not seek re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Below is the statement that I shared with the media moments ago.
To you, the loyal fighters for freedom - Thank you for your steadfast support of me throughout the years and for your tireless efforts to preserve and defend the American dream for future generations. I could not have done it without each and every supporter, volunteer, sign captain, table captain, prayer warrior – the list goes on and on. I am so proud of what we have accomplished together - for Eastern Washington and for America.
But know, our work does not stop here. We are in the midst of a battle for the future of this country. I promise you that while I will no longer be serving in Congress -- I will continue that fight. What’s at stake is too important – we must continue to strive for that more perfect union; to be that shining city on the hill and to be a beacon of hope for people all over the world.
In the months ahead, I look forward to opportunities to celebrate our accomplishments and thank you in person. In the meantime, I wanted to extend an invitation to those of you in Spokane to join me this evening for an event at 5 pm. I would love to see you.
