Dear Friends and Fellow District 6 Residents,

For the past several months I have been calling and connecting with as many residents throughout our large district as possible to introduce myself and ensure you know about my candidacy and have information about the Hennepin County Commissioner Special Election that will happen this Spring.

I want to thank so many of you for the calls and meetings. I truly believe I am uniquely qualified to start the job upon election as your next Hennepin County Commissioner. My background working on mental health policy, public safety, health and human services and environment policy at the Capitol will be a great asset in the work the county board takes on.

Not only do I bring professional experience, but also personal experience as someone whose family depended on county services in our day-to-day lives growing up.

The Minnesota Legislative session starts on Monday, February 12, 2024, with that, as a legislator, calls and meetings will get more challenging as this campaign progresses - that said, I am committed to connecting with as many District 6 residents as possible and ensuring our district knows the importance of this race. Politics can be a lot of things - in so many ways – it's what we make it. How we decide to show up and listen to one another says a great deal about our values. Understanding what needs exist for each and every community to thrive. My records shows, I am someone who cares and will be there.

I will keep showing up at the legislature and in our communities -- and work hard to connect with voters during session. My true hope is that I can count on you to show up and help me WIN the Primary April 30th and Special Election on May 14th.

It's not about one of us -- it's about all of us and even the small things will help our campaign: please sign up to be a delegate at the convention, host a lawn sign, donate $10 to $1000 or anything in between, or host a small gathering -- any and all help will be most appreciated!

I am a mom, wife, lawmaker, former mental health therapist and someone who believes good public policy improves lives. I hope to have your support!
