Recently, the Supreme Court announced its upcoming schedule, giving us a date for the medication abortion case they agreed to hear. Oral arguments will happen on March 26 regarding mifepristone, one of the two medications most commonly used to end a pregnancy. [1]
We’ll be there to say, once again, medication abortion is safe. It’s effective. And, especially post-Dobbs, it is beyond necessary for people to access.
We have been working on destigmatizing and normalizing self-managed abortion for years. We know the claims that the protocol for medication abortion is “unsafe” are bogus – it has a stellar safety record going back over two decades.
This is yet another attempt towards their end goal of controlling bodily autonomy. We won’t let them.
