The Senate is in final negotiations around its new $2 trillion stimulus package
in response to COVID-19. Low income workers and families at economic risk are
those most likely to be impacted by the economic fallout from the continued
spread of COVID-19. Millions will likely lose their jobs, be furloughed, or have massive cuts in
their working hours which will impact their ability to meet basic needs for
their families.

S NAP is one of the most rapid and effective forms of stimulus because SNAP
households tend to spend additional income and resources—in this case within
their local economy.

Please t weet at your Senators to ensure that an increase in SNAP benefits is included
in the final Senate package. U sing our click to tweet tools, it only takes 2 minutes and we'll provide you
with a suggested tweet and the handles of your two Senators.

the economy on a short-term basis. Increasing SNAP benefits will help ensure
that families are able to feed their families even despite a sudden drop in
income—something that millions are likely to face in the coming weeks and
months.

Jesus calls us to feed the hungry-- not including an increase in SNAP benefits
in this stimulus package will be a direct contradiction of his commandment to
us.
