Commerce, Health departments seeking grant application reviewers

Selected individuals will review grants that advance energy equity, environmental justice

Are you a community member who cares about equity and anti-racism? Do you want to participate in a process that will support community-driven projects that positively transform people?s lives now and in the future? If so, this may be an opportunity for you!

The Washington state departments of Commerce and Health?are seeking diverse groups of individuals with relevant expertise and experience to provide input and evaluation of five funding opportunities advancing energy equity and environmental justice.??

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14. After members are selected, they will be provided with information about the project timelines.

Individuals interested in serving as application reviewers should expect to dedicate at least 10 hours of time per grant opportunity. Reviewers may request to serve on more than one review panel. Individuals selected for a review panel will receive up to $75 per hour.

Reviewers must sign a conflict of interest statement before reviewing applications.

The grants are through Commerce?s Energy Programs in Communities (EPIC) unit and DOH?s Environmental Justice and Climate Change Grants. More information about them is available online.?
