As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I’ve had the immense pleasure and privilege of helping to confirm no less than 172 of President Biden’s highly qualified nominees to the federal judiciary, including more Black women than under all other presidential administrations in history combined.

This long-overdue progress to make our institutions reflect the diversity of our country is but one aspect of what we’re working on.

From environmental cleanup initiatives to making our nation’s food system healthier and more fair for small farmers, particularly those who have faced a history of discrimination, I’m pressing for every bit of progress that’s possible under this divided Congress.

And we still have work to do addressing the historic inequities in wealth generation, the justice system, maternal and infant health, and housing.
