Team, New Politics is here to help transformational leaders running for office bring much-needed integrity to our democracy at every level. Our latest round of endorsed candidates exemplify the values of service we know will make real change – no matter what their party affiliation or level of office.

We’re so proud to announce our newest endorsed candidates with you!
Meet Kate Rumsey, [[link removed]] running for Texas State House District 115:

Kate’s unwavering commitment to service and protecting our country is evident through her service in the Air Force Reserves and as a Federal Prosecutor. Kate is running to fight for the district that made her the woman she is today and the community where she is raising her daughter and stepson with her husband David, a reservist and former active-duty Army officer. Kate will use her experience and service background to champion women’s reproductive rights, pass common-sense gun safety legislation, fix the grid, and fund public schools. In the Texas State House, Kate will advocate for and amplify every voice in her community.
Kate Rumsey is the embodiment of what servant leadership looks like in action. Her efforts to keep Texas safe as a federal prosecutor, coupled with her experience as an Air Force JAG Officer, demonstrate her unwavering commitment to the people around her. She will bring a high level of thoughtfulness and transformational leadership to the 115th district. New Politics is proud to endorse Kate Rumsey and looks forward to her success in the Lone Star State.
Now meet Lanon Baccam, [[link removed]] running for Congress in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District.[link removed] [[link removed]]
As a combat veteran and public servant, Lanon knows the true meaning of putting others first. His experience in Afghanistan empowered him to serve the veteran community through his work at the USDA. Lanon is running for Congress because he believes all Iowans should have the opportunities afforded to him and his family: access to good-paying jobs, affordable health care, the ability to retire with dignity, and the protection of women’s reproductive freedoms.
As a combat veteran, public servant, and advocate for rural Iowa, Lanon's commitment to his community and country is unwavering. His work at the USDA, supporting veterans and implementing historic investments shows his dedication to fighting for everyone–regardless of their party and background. He’s emblematic of what it means to be a transformational leader. New Politics is proud to endorse Lanon Baccam’s campaign for Congress.
