We're fighting for trans rights in state legislatures and courtrooms across the country.

ACLU Supporter, we just won a critical victory for families and transgender youth – one that could soon be in front of the Supreme Court.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals just upheld a lower court's ruling BLOCKING an Idaho law that would ban gender-affirming medical care for transgender people under 18.

This is a major win for trans youth and their families – and proves once again that the law is on our side.

It also is a reminder of why paying attention to state legislatures is so critical. Because bills like these don't just impact the state they originate in. Across the country, anti-trans legislators are working to bring copycat bills and write transphobia into law nationwide.

That's why it's so important that we stop these bills in their tracks. Thanks to our network of lawyers, organizers, and supporters on the ground across the country, we're able to track laws like these from the very start – and fight back at every level, from the legislature to the courtroom.

This year, we're already tracking over 390 anti-LGBTQ bills – and counting. <[link removed]> Here are just some of our priorities in state legislatures:

* In Ohio, we're preparing to sue to stop another bill that would ban gender-affirming medical care for trans youth.

* In Texas, we just urged the state Supreme Court to uphold a lower court ruling that blocks enforcement of their medical care ban.

* In Iowa, we just defeated a proposal that would repeal protections from discrimination on the basis of gender identity from the Iowa Civil Rights Act.

* In Utah, we successfully fought to remove some of the most extreme restrictions from a criminal bathroom ban.
