Not just beer trucks

NBWA’s chief economist Lester Jones told LA Weekly he believes the supply chain will remain stable. “These are beverage trucks, and keeping our supply chain working and moving is critical to keeping everything going for the economy. The parts of the economy that are working and open for business will continue to be open for business,” said Jones. “We have a really strong distribution system and it goes beyond beer.”

Anheuser-Busch plans to make and distribute hand sanitizer

Recently Anheuser-Busch announced, “We are using our supply and logistics network to begin producing and distributing bottles of hand sanitizer to accommodate the growing needs across the United States.” They plan to coordinate with the Red Cross to get hand sanitizer to places that need it most.

Molson Coors to donate $1 million to Bartender Emergency Assistance Program

Molson Coors Beverage Co. pledged $1 million to the United States Bartenders' Guild (USBG). Miller Lite is also encouraging consumers to help support USBG National Charity Foundation’s Bartender Emergency Assistance Program. Restaurant and bar closures across the country due to COVID-19 have put many bartenders and other service professionals out of work.

Amazon bids for four Fairway Market stores

Amazon reportedly has offered to buy Fairway Market grocery locations in New York and New Jersey. Fairway filed for bankruptcy back in January. There were a total of 14 store locations up for auction, and other interested parties include Bogopa Enterprises and ShopRite.
