John,
Last week, on the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I helped introduce legislation in Congress to protect abortion access in Virginia and support providers.
Virginia remains the only southern state in the country that hasn’t restricted access to abortion following the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022.
As a result, many individuals from surrounding states have had to turn to Virginia and other states where abortion is still legal to seek reproductive healthcare. As Governor, I’ll continue to protect our fundamental rights.
With red states across the country holding ballot referendums on abortion, one thing is clear: the overwhelming majority of people want these decisions to remain between a woman and her doctor – not politicians.
As Governor of Virginia, I’ll continue to support a woman’s right to choose and make sure that reproductive healthcare remains safe and accessible. Will you join me in my campaign today with a contribution before our January fundraising deadline?
