GOP mega donor Charles Koch's network shifts attention to flipping U.S. Senate to GOP control

Billionaire Charles Koch’s network was all-in on electing Nikki Haley as the GOP presidential nominee in 2024. But now, in the wake of Donald Trump’s sweeping victories in the first two primary contests, Koch officials have signaled that they will shift his attention to flipping the U.S. Senate for the GOP instead. 

According to a report from CNN, “[Koch’s] organization stands ready to shift its resources and says that flipping the Senate from Democratic control is a top priority that grows all the more important if Trump wins the nomination.” 

Look, this is terrible news for two reasons: 

1. It all but guarantees that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee in 2024, placing our democracy once again in serious danger.
   
   
2. It means the well-financed Koch network will spend MASSIVELY to defeat Democratic Senators across the U.S. -- including right here in Virginia. 

Charles Koch’s cronies think that with enough money, they can buy Virginia’s Senate seat and hand power straight to Mitch McConnell and MAGA Republicans. 

But we Democrats know that Koch’s billions can’t match up against the power of our grassroots movement. So today we’re asking you to donate $20, $50, or whatever amount you can afford to fight against Koch’s billions and support Tim Kaine’s campaign.
