Virginia just passed two HUGE pieces of gun safety legislation in the state House and Senate – and introduced a bill to BAN assault weapons in the Commonwealth.

Pennsylvania just advanced a gun safety bill forward in the House – and proposed banning assault weapons.

And Maryland just answered Vice President Harris’ call to action on gun safety by creating the FIRST State Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

These are MASSIVE wins for our movement. We couldn’t be more proud of our gun safety Democrats from coast to coast who are fighting to pass life-saving legislation (including assault weapons bans) and end gun violence once and for all. But we can’t quit now – especially not when we saw record levels of mass shootings in 2023. We need to replenish our funds to continue supporting gun safety champions like the ones in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. We’re counting on 450 gifts before midnight to reach our latest budget goal and ensure we have a strong foundation of support to elect scores of gun safety Democrats in this consequential election.
