Dear  john ,

I hope that you and your family are well. Last week with Congress out of session, I hit the road to visit North Carolinians and hear what’s impacting your families. This week, I’ll return to Washington where we’ll markup Articles of Impeachment for Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas and continue our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption.

Absolutely NO Amnesty.

During the Trump administration, leftists fought tooth and nail against every single one of President Trump’s efforts to build the wall and secure the border. When President Trump left office, he left the Biden administration with a secure border and all the policy tools needed to keep order and control.

But as we’ve seen, Biden and Mayorkas are intentionally and flagrantly violating our nation’s immigration laws that are already on the books. In the process, they have thrown our border into chaos and flung the doors wide open to millions of illegal immigrants. At any point in the Biden administration, they could have decided to enforce the laws and policy tools they already possess. Even though our nation is in crisis due to unprecedented levels of illegal immigration, the Biden administration is full steam ahead on the open borders agenda.

Americans are rightfully concerned and horrified by this crisis, and the Swamp creatures are noticing. It’s bringing crime, disorder, chaos, and high costs to every state, including North Carolina.

Meanwhile, swampy Senators are doing all they can to find a way to send more of your money to Ukraine while our own country suffers under the burden of the illegal immigration crisis.

TWEET: Does that sound like "border security" to you?

Senate Republicans are pushing a legislative package that that will only further inflame the border crisis, all in the name of shoveling more of your money to Ukraine. The yet-to-be-revealed package will reportedly grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, create a legal level of migrants that exceeds crisis levels, and do absolutely nothing to secure the border, all while granting another $60+ billion to Ukraine. Their priorities are clear – and it’ not the well-being of Americans. Thankfully, the American people are letting the Senate know that this package won’t stand, and the plan isn’t working. In fact, it’s backfiring so badly that they are lashing out and blaming everyone, including President Trump, for sinking their Ukraine First package.

TWEET: It's a cover to get what they really want - more $$$ for Ukraine.

Know that my conservative colleagues in the House and I will fight tooth and nail against mass amnesty, open borders, and any other provision normalizing our current illegal immigration crisis.

The Week in Weaponized Government

This past week, our friends at America First Legal obtained bombshell documents showing that the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) knew of the many risks and problems with mass mail-in voting but censored these same critiques as “disinformation.”

CISA is a hub of censorship and civil liberties violations, as we’ve seen borne out time and time again. As you may recall, I’ve convened multiple hearings investigating the rot in CISA and other hubs of the Censorship Industrial Complex.

Whether it’s about pandemics, election integrity, or any topic under the sun – you have the right to speak freely without being censored by the government. That’s why I introduced the Censorship Accountability Act, and my office is hard at work ensuring that this vital bill passes the House this year.

When it comes to government surveillance and censorship, we need every guardrail possible to protect Americans from the Deep State.

National School Choice Week

I was proud to cosponsor a resolution in the House to declare last week National School Choice Week.

Parents, not bureaucrats, know what is best for their children. You should be able to choose your child’s school, whether that’s public, private, or charter.
