Friend,
There are already many, many Texans facing a tough time as a result of the economic fallout during this coronavirus pandemic. And with our inability to gather in public or deliver meals personally, I know that it can seem like we don’t have much power to help at this time.
One clear and direct action we can take is by helping Texans make sure they have food for themselves and their families:
The Central Texas Foodbank is responding to COVID-19 by providing food to those in need, and we can support them here.

We’re going to get through this by pulling together, as we have in the past.
Our own health depends on the health of the person next to us, and the person next to them. Ensuring others can access care is how we take care of ourselves.
And right now, the best way we can ensure that we keep everyone healthy is by staying in, avoiding public gatherings, practicing responsible social distancing, and being kind and thoughtful with others and with ourselves.
This is the clearest explanation for how we can flatten the curve and why it’s so important for all of us to keep our distance from each other right now: [link removed]
Thank you so much for your strength and solidarity as we navigate this together.
