Biden's Open Border is Wreaking Havoc on Our Nation

Every time I go down to the border, it has gotten worse. This crisis — a direct result of the Biden administration's deliberate abandonment of our border — is a human tragedy, and it's damaging the fabric of our nation.

On his first day in office, President Biden rescinded border policies that were effectively working — like Remain in Mexico — and keeping our country safe. Now, the consequences of that decision are wreaking havoc across our nation, and Texas continues to unfairly bear the brunt of it.

I am one voice, but I represent 800,000 people, and our message is simple: we have had enough.

This week, I led a bipartisan delegation to see the crisis at the border firsthand. Our trip further demonstrated we need fundamental policy changes before America loses hope, and we need these changes now.

We also went to Mexico city to meet with the President of Mexico and elected government officials, as our relationship, and their cooperation, is vital to enforce effective border policies, like Remain in Mexico.

Protecting Farmers and Small Business Owners

There are two million farms across America, 98 percent of which are operated by families. Farmers and small business owners are critical to our economy, yet Democrats want to add financial pressure by taxing their dead.

This week, I was honored to introduce the Death Tax Repeal Act with 162 of my colleagues, to permanently end such an unnecessary burden being placed on them. The last thing a grieving family needs after losing their loved one is to be penalized with a massive tax.
