Rep. Troy E. Nehls Demands Answers from USPS Postmaster General Greetings! I wanted to take a moment to share with you a recap on what happened last week in Texas' 22nd District and the United States House of Representatives. This Week in Washington Rep. Troy E. Nehls Demands Answers Regarding Dysfunction Within the USPS Sorting Facility in Missouri City, Texas Rep. Troy E. Nehls Demands Answers Regarding Dysfunction ... WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Troy E. Read more nehls.house.gov Many of my constituents have reached out to my office, expressing serious concerns with the United States Postal Service (USPS) sorting facility in Missouri City, Texas, since November 2023, including delayed and misplaced packages. My office has received over 50 complaints asking for assistance with the Missouri City sorting facility in the last few weeks alone. Sadly, when people attempt to reach out independently, they are met with indifferent staff, a difficult-to-navigate website, and an automated telephone system. While the holiday season proves to be the busiest time of year for USPS, many residents of Texas's 22nd Congressional District have not received packages that they ordered as late as October 2023, including critical prescription medications. This is absolutely unacceptable, which is why I sent a letter to the Postmaster General demanding answers regarding the complete dysfunction at the Missouri City sorting facility. The USPS is a critical service to the American people. I look forward to hearing from the Postmaster General about how they plan to remedy the situation to better serve the folks of TX-22. Furthermore, if you are experiencing issues with USPS postal facilities in and around the district, please fill out the privacy release form HERE and include any tracking information for your lost or missing package. My team is here to serve you! Read more about my letter HERE. This Week in TX-22 2024 Congressional Art Competition is Now Open My office is now accepting Congressional Art Competition submissions online only by Friday, April 26, 2024. Since then, over 650,000 high school students have been involved with the nationwide competition. The Congressional Art Competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and is open to all high school students in the 22nd Congressional District of Texas. The winning artwork of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and receive two plane tickets to Washington, D.C. The rules, regulations, application, and checklist can be found on my website.
