Earlier this month, U.S. Representatives Kim Schrier, Suzan DelBene, and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez introduced legislation to reauthorize the National Landslide Preparedness Act through the end of 2028.

Speaking to the press about the bill, Rep. Kim Schrier said, “This bill will make crucial investments to further our understanding of landslides, improve our preparation for these natural disasters, and ultimately safeguard our communities,”

House Republicans pushed forward two bills earlier this month, the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act and the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act, both of which they claim to help pregnant people and newborns.

In reality, they are anti-choice, anti-woman bills that extreme House Republicans are using to quietly roll back the rights of pregnant people everywhere. Kim is proud to oppose them and any Republican agenda to further restrict access to abortion.
