Andy is pushing hard to make sure we have a coordinated federal response to this crisis, but we're also very aware that many families don't have enough food to fill their pantries today. They shouldn't have to wonder if they'll be able to find their next meal.
If you're self-isolating or in a high-risk group, donating to Feeding America is a great way to support the food banks in your area while remaining at home. Your support will not only help them acquire food for distribution, but pay for equipment, boxes, and transportation that is essential in unprecedented times like these.
If you're otherwise healthy, in a low-risk group, and engaging in social distancing, you may also want to consider volunteering at a food bank near you, as your help is desperately needed.
