Friends,

I’d like to provide a few updates on recent congressional activity.

My pressure campaign to stop the University of California system from hiring illegal immigrants in contravention of federal law has worked. I’m proud to be the only member of Congress to take action on this important matter.

It’s a small victory in the large shadow of President Biden’s efforts to decimate border security and erase federal immigration laws. Next week, the House Homeland Security Committee will approve impeachment articles for Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas. I believe this is an action Congress must take. This follows my recent votes to authorize the deportation of illegal aliens convicted of social security fraud and driving while intoxicated.

My legislation related to the Jamul Tribe of San Diego passed unanimously out of committee. And my bill to stop the placement of Sexually Violent Predators into communities gained strong votes of support from San Diego County Supervisors Jim Desmond and Joel Anderson.

As always, it is an honor to serve as your representative in Congress. For more information on constituent services, current legislation, and more, please visit my website at www.issa.house.gov.

Respectfully,
