96 Friend,

All across Georgia, there are men and women who are
working hard to protect our communities, help those in need, and teach
the future generation. While their pay is usually lower than private
sector jobs, they do it because they want to serve their fellow
Georgians and see our state succeed.

For Georgia to stay efficient
and continue growing, we must attract and retain employees who perform
these vitally important jobs. That’s why my budget proposal includes:
✅ A 4% cost-of-living adjustment for our educators and other state
employees

✅ A $3,000 pay increase for state law enforcement officers,
correctional officers, and other public safety agencies.

✅ $500
million to shore up our state retiree fund and keep our state on solid
financial footing

We’re putting state dollars to work in targeted,
efficient ways in order to recruit, retain, and thank employees in vital
roles at every corner of our state!
