Hi there, it’s Deborah. Today is the 51st anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark Roe v. Wade ruling — a ruling that was devastatingly overturned almost two years ago.
I wanted to reach out personally today to tell you why it’s never been more important to make our voices heard and speak out against Republicans’ dangerous anti-abortion agenda.
Ever since Roe v. Wade was overturned, Republicans have bombarded Congress and state legislatures with a barrage of legislation to destroy a woman’s right to choose. While a total abortion ban has yet to be enacted, it still very well could be — especially if Democrats lose the White House, Senate and House in 2024.
We must fight back and show Republicans that we refuse to let them take away our reproductive freedom. I’m on the frontlines of that fight every day in Congress, but I need your help to stay there.
