It was great to see so many PA members at the Endorsement Meeting last night! 



In 2024, PA is hosting monthly welcome hang outs. Come out to Hi-Wire on Thursday <[link removed]>, February 8th at 6:30pm to meet fellow PA members who are ready to take action.

<[link removed]>Instead of attacks on public education, North Carolinians want an end to the manufactured controversies that distract from the real problems our children face. At the event, Sadie Allan (editor Pirate's Hook, Riverside High School) will interview three Black women public school leaders about the challenges they face.

The People's Alliance Fund is proud to work with the Durham County District Attorney's office to promote on a private screening of 36 Seconds: Portrait of a Hate Crime <[link removed]> on February 12th at 7pm at the Carolina Theater.



<[link removed]>Register here for this special documentary event! <[link removed]>The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring an esteemed panel that will dig into the film, the criminal case, and the issue of hate crime laws. Panelists include:



- Durham County Board of Commissioners Chair Nida Allam

- Durham County District Attorney Satana Deberry

- State Senator Jay Chaudhuri



WUNC’s Leoneda Inge will moderate the discussion.
