It’s Jordan, Tom Suozzi’s Deputy Campaign Manager.

While I hate to bother you on a Sunday, I needed to give a critical campaign update to Tom’s top supporters like you about how January 24 will be an extremely important deadline for our campaign. Here’s why.

In a typical campaign, FEC deadlines are quarterly, which means that after every quarter, campaigns have to make their finances public. After that, pollsters, pundits, and National Republicans can scrutinize our numbers to look for any signs of weakness , and plan accordingly.

But with the special election just around the corner our campaign has a special FEC deadline of January 24, in just 3 days!

On February 1–just 12 days before Election Day–our numbers through January 24 will be made public. We know what will happen next; National Republicans will scour our report for any signs of weakness as they decide whether to launch another multimillion dollar ad blitz against Tom!
