U.S. Rep. Colin Allred joined Republicans to condemn Biden's handling of border

Hi, it’s Roland Gutierrez, the Democrat running to unseat Ted Cruz.

I don’t like criticizing other Democrats – especially ones I respect.

But this week, Colin Allred, my primary opponent in the race to take on Ted Cruz this November, sided with Ted Cruz and Donald Trump in voting with GOP extremists to condemn Joe Biden’s “open-border” policies.

I am an immigration attorney and I represent over 300 miles of the Texas Border. I can’t stay silent.

Allred broke ranks with the rest of our party and joined just 13 other House Democrats in voting with the GOP.

Democrats in Texas deserve a candidate who will speak up and fight for them, not pretend to be Republicans in the hopes they won’t be targeted by Cruz or Trump.
