John, Being a military spouse was hard. Hung and I stayed together through two decades of deployments to the Middle East and Africa. I’m not going to lie, it was difficult having a loved one on the front lines in some of the most dangerous places on the planet. But I knew the sacrifices were worth it because he was keeping the enemy at bay so our children would be safe at home. Today, the fight for our children’s future looks a little different. After 25 years, Hung traded his Navy uniform for a polo and jeans. Now, his travels take him across our Commonwealth, not across the world. And instead of taking command on the battlefield, he’s listening to the needs and concerns of Virginia voters.
