Dear John,

It's been a challenging and hard-fought week in Washington, as I have been leading the fight against the cabal of Democrats, RINOs, lobbyists and special interests who were determined to pass another massive spending bill that borrows from China and increases our record debt.

Unfortunately, too many weak-kneed Republicans in the House and Senate surrendered and joined nearly all Democrats to keep the Biden-Pelosi-Schumer policies and spending levels in place, with yet another short-term government funding bill known as a continuing resolution (CR). Worse, they passed it without any efforts to secure our Southern Border and stop Biden’s invasion of millions of illegal aliens from 170 different countries, not to mention the drug smuggling and human trafficking.

I will continue to relentlessly fight on your behalf to reduce our spending, secure our borders, and protect our constitutional freedoms. Americans have suffered enough. We simply must defeat the radical Biden agenda that is destroying our country.

As Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, I am leading the most conservative members of Congress, as we do everything we can to hold our party accountable for the promises we made to you. Meanwhile, my primary opponent who was hand-picked by Kevin McCarthy and Eric Cantor and is being funded by their Swamp friends in DC and California, has been missing-in-action in his Virginia Senate responsibilities, and cares little about serving the people of his new district.

John McGuire couldn’t be bothered to show up for his first full week on the job as a just-elected State Senator. He missed 9 votes on Monday and showed up 48 minutes late for the General Assembly session. He obviously had no intention of doing his job or fulfilling his duties as a Senator, when he asked the people to vote for him just a few weeks ago.

Having tried to run in 7 different races in less than 5 years, John McGuire promised voters last year that he would serve a full term in the State Senate. But just a week after being elected, and before he was even sworn in, he announced a run against me. He is proving he isn’t interested in serving as a State Senator. He even insinuated in an interview this week that he wants to climb the latter and run for President!

I'm proud to not just show up on your behalf, but to actually fight for you each and every day. In fact, I have a 98% record of voting on your behalf – meaning I have only missed 2% of thousands of votes in 3 years – and I am proud to defend each and every one of my votes.

This week, I went to the House floor to speak against the big-spending CR, and in favor of 2 pro-life bills that passed, including one with an amendment that I authored. I also joined my friend Senator Ted Cruz (TX) on an amicus brief to the Supreme Court that says Donald Trump should NOT be removed from any state ballot.

My friends, we are in the fight of our life to save our country. We need serious people who show up to represent you, fight for you, and put America before our own personal ambitions. I am proud to continue to serve and fight for you each and every day.

The fight is real and the swamp will stop at nothing to buy this seat and take away your voice. Please donate today and help me send the message that the 5th District is not for sale. ([link removed])

May God bless you, and may God continue to bless America.

For God and Country,

Bob

P.S. Please come out next Saturday, January 27, at 5 p.m. for my kickoff event, and show your support for the true conservative principles that this nation was founded upon. The event will be held at the beautiful Barns at Poor House Farm, located at 3286 Poorhouse Road in Rice. ([link removed])
