Audrey here from the DLCC! What I’m about to say is super important for the sake of our democracy, but I promise not to take up too much of your time this afternoon. Here’s why:

👉 2024 is an all-important presidential election year. That means we’re going up against the noise of top-ticket races, making it even more difficult to secure the funds necessary to compete in state legislative elections.

👉 Democrats pulled off some huge wins over the last two years, including over 30 special election victories in 2023, and Republicans are furious, to say the least.

👉 The GOP is looking to regain lost ground, and we’re expecting them to pour millions of dollars into their campaigns. That’s why it’s critical we have the resources to not just compete, but to WIN.

I’ll cut to the chase: Last year, over 23,000 grassroots Democrats joined our team as 2023 members. But right now, we’re only at 6,000… yikes. Fewer members on board means fewer resources to counter Republican antics and elect state Dems nationwide. This is a crucial “on” year. We need you ON board.

We need to mobilize early to protect our majorities, expand our power, and fight back against Republicans’ far-right agenda.
